The Fresh Prince is back in Dubai and his first port of call was to throw himself out of a plane, again.
Will Smith, who was last in the emirate in August 2016 to promote his film Suicide Squad and declared the emirate one of his favourite places in the world, posted a video of himself on his Facebook fan page making the jump over Skydive Dubai and claiming he is "Lovin' Dubai from the Sky".
The video has garnered millions of views, and since then the Men in Black actor has been active on social media, posting photos of himself alongside popular landmarks, including the Burj Al Arab. "Lovin' Dubai from the Sea", he says in the post.
The luxury Jumeirah hotel was chuffed, responding by tweeting: “When Hollywood’s leading man and the world’s most famous hotel align. Welcome back to Dubai, Will Smith”.
Smith’s action-packed holiday continued with a two-hour buggy ride through the desert. Sam Smith, 27, the senior tour guide at Big Red Motorsports, told The National that Smith was “really nice, chatty and joking with us and talking about the next time he comes and how he might get me to take him out on the bikes”. Sam competes in the Emirates Desert Championship on motorcycles.
During his last visit to Dubai, 48-year-old Smith was accompanied by his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. There is no word yet as to whether he is alone or accompanied this time.
In the past few weeks, Smith has visited Morrocco and Cairo, and while it remains unclear how long he is here in the UAE, we are sure he won’t keep us wondering.

Sheikh Zayed's poem
When it is unveiled at Abu Dhabi Art, the Standing Tall exhibition will appear as an interplay of poetry and art. The 100 scarves are 100 fragments surrounding five, figurative, female sculptures, and both sculptures and scarves are hand-embroidered by a group of refugee women artisans, who used the Palestinian cross-stitch embroidery art of tatreez. Fragments of Sheikh Zayed’s poem Your Love is Ruling My Heart, written in Arabic as a love poem to his nation, are embroidered onto both the sculptures and the scarves. Here is the English translation.
Your love is ruling over my heart
Your love is ruling over my heart, even a mountain can’t bear all of it
Woe for my heart of such a love, if it befell it and made it its home
You came on me like a gleaming sun, you are the cure for my soul of its sickness
Be lenient on me, oh tender one, and have mercy on who because of you is in ruins
You are like the Ajeed Al-reem [leader of the gazelle herd] for my country, the source of all of its knowledge

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
