DUBAI// A taxi driver forced his female passenger to record him on his mobile phone as he pleasured himself, the Criminal Court heard on Sunday.
Z M, 25, a South African, told the court she hailed a taxi on the afternoon of December 15 last year and sat in the front seat next to the driver.
Soon after, the driver, J K, 47, from Pakistan, began groping her.
“He touched my leg, my breasts and then tried to reach my private parts,” Z M said.
Z M told the court the defendant then handed her his mobile phone and forced her to record him as he revealed himself from below the waist.
He then dropped her off at her destination and left.
J K was arrested on December 22 and was later identified by Z M.
At Dubai Criminal Court on Sunday, he confessed to a charge of sexual assault and asked the judges for mercy.
A verdict will be given on February 25.
