Brand Dubai, a subsidiary of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), in collaboration with Global Village is to implement a two-phase project, in which they will display various kinds of art works.
The first part includes covering selective buildings in the village with distinguished art works, and the second part is beautifying the pedestrian bridges crossing the water canal centering the village.
A host of artists will carry out the works that include variety of art movements and styles. The event that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors and continue for 157 days.
“Brand Dubai aspires to add to artistic features of Dubai, adopting in its approach various cultural components and art movements,” said Noora Al Abbar, GDMO’s director of Communications and Innovation. “Brand Dubai does not only highlight Dubai’s overall image, but also celebrates the city’s original characteristics.”
COO of Global Village Ahmed Hussain bin Essa said his management is keen to present new and exciting things every season.
“Our 18th season was a big success, and we hope to pursue this success in the 19th season,” he said. “The art works in the Global Village will mix nature with reality to form a new concept and meanwhile reflect the artist’s feelings and expression.”
