Derby County and Queens Park Rangers play at Wembley on Saturday to see who joins the Premier League for the 2014/15 season and secures the biggest winning prize in world football, which comes with gaining promotion to England’s top flight.
According to the accounting firm Deloitte, winning the Football League Championship play-off would be worth £120 million (Dh741.9m) to Derby and £80m to QPR.
The sum is lower for QPR because they would otherwise continue to benefit from parachute payments after demotion from the Premier League in 2013.
Derby hope to return to the Premier League after a six-year absence.
Championship winners Leicester City and runners-up Burnley secured the two automatic promotion places.
The value of the promotion play-off to the winners has risen three-fold over the past decade, as the value of television monies on offer to those clubs in the Premier League has continued to rise.
“The winners can expect a significant revenue increase in 2014/15 – their first season following promotion to the Premier League,” Adam Bull, senior consultant in the Sports Business Group at Deloitte, told the BBC.
In addition, parachute payments for relegated teams have increased in value and length. “Based on existing distribution methods, even if a club is relegated after one season in the Premier League, it will be entitled to parachute payments over the following four seasons of at least £60m,” Bull said.
QPR are seeking a return to the top flight after being relegated a year ago. Harry Redknapp remains their manager. Derby are led by the former England manager Steve McClaren.

What is an FTO Designation?
FTO designations impose immigration restrictions on members of the organisation simply by virtue of their membership and triggers a criminal prohibition on knowingly providing material support or resources to the designated organisation as well as asset freezes.
It is a crime for a person in the United States or subject to the jurisdiction of the United States to knowingly provide “material support or resources” to or receive military-type training from or on behalf of a designated FTO.
Representatives and members of a designated FTO, if they are aliens, are inadmissible to and, in certain circumstances removable from, the United States.
Except as authorised by the Secretary of the Treasury, any US financial institution that becomes aware that it has possession of or control over funds in which an FTO or its agent has an interest must retain possession of or control over the funds and report the funds to the Treasury Department.

Water waste
In the UAE’s arid climate, small shrubs, bushes and flower beds usually require about six litres of water per square metre, daily. That increases to 12 litres per square metre a day for small trees, and 300 litres for palm trees.
Horticulturists suggest the best time for watering is before 8am or after 6pm, when water won't be dried up by the sun.
A global report published by the Water Resources Institute in August, ranked the UAE 10th out of 164 nations where water supplies are most stretched.
The Emirates is the world’s third largest per capita water consumer after the US and Canada.

Libya's Gold
UN Panel of Experts found regime secretly sold a fifth of the country's gold reserves.
The panel’s 2017 report followed a trail to West Africa where large sums of cash and gold were hidden by Abdullah Al Senussi, Qaddafi’s former intelligence chief, in 2011.
Cases filled with cash that was said to amount to $560m in 100 dollar notes, that was kept by a group of Libyans in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
A second stash was said to have been held in Accra, Ghana, inside boxes at the local offices of an international human rights organisation based in France.
