Seven Arab pop stars are coming to Abu Dhabi for lavish concerts in March.

Nancy Ajram and Wael Kfoury will lead a strong line-up of artists, including fellow Lebanese singers Ragheb Alama, Carole Samaha, Melhem Zein and Nader Al Atat, and Syrian crooner Mouhamad Khairy, for three concerts to be held in two picturesque Abu Dhabi resorts.

The action begins on Saturday with Zein, Khairy and Al Atat teaming up for a concert and gala dinner at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, with tickets from Dh500 ($136).

The remaining two concerts will be held at Emirates Palace with Alama and Samaha performing on March 18, followed by the killer double bill of Ajram and Kfoury on March 26.

Tickets for both events start at Dh350.

The news underscores the message that major concerts are back in Abu Dhabi in the wake of pandemic.

This month alone there have been announcements for four star-studded events at Abu Dhabi's Etihad Arena.

In May there will be three Eid concerts at the Yas Island venue, beginning with Egyptian pop king Amr Diab on May 3 and Iraqi singer Kadim Al Sahir the next day, while the US pop group Maroon 5 will take to the stage on May 6.

Bollywood stars will also arrive in Abu Dhabi with Etihad Arena hosting the industry's biggest celebration, the International Indian Film Academy Awards, on May 20 and 21.

Tickets for all Etihad Arena events are available from the website.

Classical music fans are also in for a treat with Abu Dhabi Classics set to announce a number of concerts to be held throughout the year.

The annual season began its performance programme in March with a recital by Chinese superstar pianist Lang Lang at Louvre Abu Dhabi.
